Visited the re-wilding area for a walk today and thoroughly enjoyed though very muddy, definitely wellies needed. The farm shop has some great produce and the cafe was heaving. May go to a five once I've done a longer walk and if I'm able to get a table to try some food

Wonderful quality time with my dear friend Jacqui Shimidzu at the Knepp 3,500 acres rewilding estate in Horsham Sussex. Jacqui wants to ‘rewild’ the back and front garden at her new home in Forest Hill and wanted some inspiration. We were blown away by just exploring a microcosm of the estate. The transformation achieved attracting wildlife and the regeneration of the landscape ticks every box of what can and should be replicated throughout the UK big time and if you have a garden and want to ‘rewild’ simples! Via Google ‘native seed mixture.’ To be inspired this place is so worth a visit.

We visited the new cafe / restaurant this week for a special birthday treat of tea and cakes. The atmosphere is wonderful, very well thought out decor and beautiful surroundings. We ordered (and were given) our cakes, which were delicious. There were a few tables taken, but it wasn’t full or busy. Sadly after a 20 minute wait, I had to go in to ask for the teas. After several more minutes, tea was brought out to us. I am sure this is early days, and the team are getting to grips with things so I look forward to another visit with more flowing service.

Very wet through the winter but what a great place to go. So much to see, if you're quiet. But then again you may not have much luck, but, you turn a corner and bump into something to enthrall you. Well worth a few visits through the seasons

If you are a lover of nature then Knepp estate is for you. Animals move around freely in their habitat. Very lovely to see.

A lovely walk and the estate is beautiful. I’d recommend wellies in the winter as it’s too wet for boots and some paths were flooded and unwalkable so had to turn back. Well signposted mostly and even saw a couple of deer and some bunnies. Will be coming back in the drier months.

A wonderful project and fantastic place to visit at any time of the year - though wear boots in winter! Great either for a walk, using one of their well signed routes, or a safari or course; so much to learn and see, but so peaceful too. A fascinating and Inspirational place to read up about as well. :-)

Had 3 visits now. Id compare to The new forest quite happily, there are suggested trails in red blue or white, taking from 1.5- 4 hours. quite rough walking from hoof marks in ground. a small refreshments van. ENTER by going to Dial Post and Swallows lane car park. the map takes you to the ruin and a no entry gate.

Lovely place to visit. Polite staff, good parking, amazing grounds and wildlife. We did half the purple route. As a person with impaired mobility who cannot sit on the floor, I was disheartened that there was not a single bench along the route. We will return but only when I'm up to completing the other half without resting! No toilet facilities.

Not really'open' to the public. I'm sure there is supposed to be a 'ruined' part of the castle, but we couldn't find it. The part we found was in use and is owned, I don't believe it's national trust. This kind of spoiled what we were expecting. Walking around was lovely though, loads of deer and other wildlife about, but no car park as far as we could work out. Just a strange thing if people are supposed to be able to walk around the gardens. Will be investigating further to try and find out more about the ruins.
